Dr Chiu is a board-certified ophthalmologist with a particular interest in cataract, cornea and refractive surgery. He attended college and medical school at UCLA. He then completed ophthalmology residency at UT Southwestern, one of the largest and busiest training programs in the country. Afterwards, he returned to the renowned UCLA Stein Eye Institute for specialty training in cornea and refractive surgery. Procedures Dr. Chiu performs include laser assisted cataract surgery, LASIK, PRK, pterygium excision, corneal transplants, and corneal crosslinking.
